We were very fortunate that we had our ‘pre-Christmas’ enjoyable lunch early December at the Woodland Hotel and didn’t return to game play until 11th January, thereby missing the very cold spell of snow, ice and rain we had during the festive season. A few of our members had succumbed to winter ailments, but are now returned to good health and playing well.
We are delighted to welcome back to our midst, Anne Douglas and Avril Gray, who were members some years ago but had to give up playing due to work commitments. We are also happy to welcome Maureen Cameron, a new member who is enjoying the cheery friendship and games.
We will soon be thinking of when and where we will be having our annual very enjoyable Garden Party—always a happy event.
